This post has been sponsored by Pfizer Consumer Healthcare. The story and opinion is 100% mine and I am an actual user of this medicine.
Not many people can say they have gone an entire year without getting sick, but I am proud of the fact that I managed to not catch any colds from my kids that are in school! My husband didn’t fare as well and spent the Holidays battling a sinus infection. Now I normally don’t talk about the “man flu” but it is a very real thing. It’s not that I am calling my man a whiner when he is sick because he isn’t, but when he is sick he just checks out of life and sleeps and only wakes to take meds or blow his nose.
There ARE medicines that can help ease the symptoms of colds. I personally don’t have the time to check out of life for a few days while I battle a cold and I absolutely CAN NOT take most medicines because of side effects. Advil® Cold & Sinus is the ONLY exception because it doesn’t use that nasty decongestant ingredient that causes me brain fog, meaning I don’t worry about having my brain feel like it isn’t connected to my body, like all other cold meds.
I don’t usually talk about a lot of medicines on my blog because honestly, I PERSONALLY have to be dragged, fighting tooth and nail, to take medicines. I just am highly sensitive. I am not saying that I am stronger than anyone else because I am definitely not I just don’t like side effects. You wouldn’t believe the joy that overcomes a person when they finally find a medicine that works perfectly. I don’t have to suffer. Also, my husband is going back into truck driving and they are very rigid about medicines while driving, so finding a truly non-drowsy formula is most definitely top priority!
I hope I don’t get sick in 2017 either (knock on wood) but I DO know that if I do, at least I know I can still do what I need, no mom flu or man flu for us anymore!
