Day 2 of the cruise began bright and early because I was in group A and that meant we had picture day first. We were in line by 9:30 AM and we ended up being the 4th group in line. We actually got in even faster because the group ahead of us tried to pass off having only 9 girls and that is a huge no-no so they got booted. Pictures aside this was the only time a BH was GUARANTEED to meet, hug and say hi to the guys. It was a lot like my Main Event concert only way less time. We were one of the first groups so nobody was tired and security wasn’t annoyed yet so I still managed to get some words to my guys.
Danny was first. I’m not a Danny girl per se but from the first moment he stepped on the deck I thought, “Damn he is looking FINE!!” I hugged him and said it was so great to see you again, then next was my crush, Donnie. That guy, let me tell you… I said hi Donnie good to see you then when we hugged I whispered I had another bracelet for him but my girl Steph (@StephBKNY) has it and he grinned that grin that gets me every.single.time. After that was Jordan I scooted over and said Hey Jordan! Then it was pic time. 1st pic I was great but Jordan wasn’t ready, 2nd pic Jordan was perfect and World of Johnny distracted me. Solution? a friend photoshopped a face swap on me!
I got to hug that man and ahhhh but also had time to say I hope I’m not making you fat with all the cookies I sent you on tour and the cruise, I’m the one that kept sending them to you, to which he replied ” You made the cookies? I ate 2 last night!” Died right there but kept my cool and said I am glad you liked them!
Next was Joe and I quickly hugged him and said ” I’m the puppy dog eyes from Grand Rapids!” and grabbed his shoulders and forced him to stare at me just like he did to me at the concert!! Take that Joe! Finally security was all move along herd, so I had to hurry and hug Jon which sucks because his hugs are the BEST and I wanted to stay in his embrace longer, and nearly stepped on his feet because I was in a hurry!
Its was over after that but I had to have security grab my shoes for me and while they did I asked World of Johnny if he tried the cookies yet (I had ran into him the night before and asked for a big favor, the box full of cookies for all the guys, him and Victor was needing to be delivered and that sweet man not only said he would but also thanked me and called me so sweet for baking them! Anyway he definitely delivered them…more on that later!
After pictures we were hungry so we had lunch on the Lido. This was the last time I chose to eat at the outside buffet because basically it was all fried foods and stuff I don’t eat and it wasn’t that great. Inside they had way better selections. Nothing fried AND dessert…AND air conditioned!
After lunch I spent a little time at the casino with some friends, as a special treat, Jenny McCarthy was hosting her Sirius Radio show on the cruise and we were invited to watch. Let me just say, Jonathan Knight might be the funniest NKOTB member, taking the trophy from Donnie. I can’t even talk about the topics because let’s face it, they aren’t made for a sort-of-family-friendly blog but suffice it to say that whole show was so funny I almost peed my pants. To be completely honest it was way better than the game show the night before. I wish we would have been able to meet Jenny but such is life, hopefully she sails again!
After the show I got back to my room and everyone was trying to get up to the deck and I found out then that it was almost time for town hall. Town hall is a meeting up on the deck in the daytime, and this is a chance for the fans to ask the guys any question they want. I got up to the deck, alone and found a spot to stand after I said hello and gave hugs to people I’d been wanting to meet in person that I’ve known online for a long time! Donnie took over the mic, as he always does and went out looking for people with questions.
After a couple questions Armando the bodyguard was in our area and shouts “Who has a question?” and my arm shot up and I yelled I DO! And holy cripes he heard me and looked right at me and nodded. A part of me thought yeah right he will forget me or there’s just a microphone coming.
Then it happened. Donnie Wahlberg was right next to me. The previous question was asked of Joe, about when his son will start singing “Please Don’t Go Girl” and that led Donnie into a segue about a great moment on tour that he spoke at length about, all while he had his arm around me. You bet I took a selfie. But even better the girls all around me took pictures too and there is video. My question was for Jordan, because it’s been 4 years since his last solo release.. I said “Hi, I’m Candy (and he said hi, JK said MY NAME..died!!) and I said you know me as the cookie girl and I didn’t event get all of the word girl out before Donnie looks at me and said “We need more cookies, did you make those (yes they’re homemade!) he said they were delicious, then Joey, Danny and Jordan joined in. Basically NKOTB wanted more of MY COOKIES. Donnie asked if he could arrange for me to go to the kitchen and make more with the chef, would I and I said absolutely I would do that for you!
Now this is rare because there are so many stories that get embellished of things that happen but the whole boat saw it and there was video. This unknown soldier basically went from nobody to somebody very important really fast. For the rest of the cruise it didn’t matter if I got to have face time because that moment with Donnie and the guys was just for me, I don’t have to embellish anything it was a pure moment and it was so amazing! Watch the video below to hear what I am talking about!
All that excitement and I still didn’t get to the question haha! Okay so now that the cookie-gate was out of the way I said “This question is for Jordan, because I am stingy, I am wondering if you are playing on doing anything solo for us Jordan Girls” Which at that time I whispered up in Donnie’s ear that he and Jordan should sing Stingy at the concert (surprise surprise they DID)
Seriously, does he need to be that cute at me?
Jordan asked what kind of thing like an album or what and I said Album. He said he REALLY wants to but also wants to spend some time at home because he missed a lot being on the road for the past 1.5 years. Do I think there was more to it? Sure, but I respect his privacy and hope next year he hits the studio again. But I will say this, it will be VERY hard to top Unfinished.
So I floated the rest of the night, and had lots of time to kill before the party that night so me and the girl I stood by at Sail Away and at Town Hall headed to the dining room together. This is what this cruise is to me, meeting new friends and learning about eachother and our adoring love for the guys! Food in the dining room takes a while to get to you but its the BEST on the entire ship! I got the ribs because I’m a southern comfort food kind of girl and they were very tasty. The dining room has 3 courses but you can choose as much as you want, two entrees if you want, its great!
After dinner it was time to get ready for White Night. I ran into my dear sweet friend Stephanie on the way and she handed me the bracelet that I had sent to her months before to give to Donnie at the concert but she never got the chance. She handed me the bracelet and we both ran in different directions. It’s crazy busy all the time I tell you! My plan for White Night was simple. I would wear my Jordan Knight shoes and simple white shorts and a shirt. I actually topped it off with my bathing suit cover-up which was also white.
My secret plan unfolded when I ran into two of the girls in my photo group that were standing a few rows back from the stage but right in the line that the guys take to get up on stage. When the guys arrived Donnie was coming through and when he reached to shake my hand I slipped him the bracelet. The bracelet said I <3 BHs, and was similar to the bracelet I gave him in may that says I <3 Jon. I don’t think for a second he actually had time to look and see who gave it to him but I am just glad he took it. And guess what? HE WORE IT FOR THE REST OF THE CRUISE.

I had a blast that night, went up into the “stands” as it were and danced my tail off with my friends and had a blast at that party! What an AMAZING day. As an added bonus, the guys brought back the roman Gods..check out my video if you wouldn’t mind seeing a wardrobe malfunction of one of the guys!
I got a few hours of sleep but got up early to witness sunrise on GRAND TURK. We hit land!!! I knew I probably wouldn’t go to the pool party later that day because I didn’t really have anyone to go with and make plans with, but what is more this was my ONLY chance to have time for just me, to have some relaxation and zen that I needed so bad. It was my vacation and I needed it. When we were allowed to get off the boat I headed straight to the deserted beach to fulfill a photography bucket list item, to photograph a Caribbean beach! I didn’t want umbrellas and people, I wanted pure beach. Quiet, just for me. My dream came true that morning.
After I picked up my customary magnet and keychain I headed back to the boat where I changed into my bathing suit and headed up to the pool for sunbathing and swimming. I can’t tell you how nice it was to have that alone time that day! It was a pretty quiet day most of the day but I knew after dinner with my girl Diana that it was time to get ready for the concert, and for us that meant getting on our costumes and being ready for the party afterward in our costumes since there was no time….
