HTC One M8 Review

I’ve had the pleasure of trying some great phones and the HTC One M8 is no different. I call it the top model for the HTC brand. It is large and in charge(5.7 inches), vivid and bright. Fast too.

When I first got the phone I loved the way the subtle curve in the back fit my hand. Comparing it to the other big phone I reviewed, the Galaxy Note 3, this design is a bit thinner and more sleek. Still too big for one handed use and looks funny if you try and stuff it in your pocket but it isn’t about looks, its about how it works!

Firstly as I started playing around with features and the like I noticed that the battery life was not good. It would go down 1 percent literally every 2 minutes. At first I thought I had a faulty unit. That would be a massive deal breaker for me. I ended up downloading the app Battery Doctor and that helped a lot to save juice. However, about 3 weeks into the review the phone had an OS update to the newest KitKat system. Immediately after this update the batter life was vastly improved. With the battery app and the update I wasn’t having to charge at all, even after using navigation for a couple hours.

The COOLEST feature to me is the dual camera because it will give your photos a 3D style to the photo, you have to see this one to believe it!

I think at this point having already reviewed a big Android phone and loving it, nothing is comparing to the Note 3 for me. The Note 4 is coming so I bet I love that too. But the HTC One M8 holds it’s own, I think the design is prettier and will appeal more. And a lot of people don’t care about a stylus so the M8 is a perfect fit.

Bottom Line: HTC M8 is great for my needs having a fast OS and great screen size. To put it in terms that most will understand, it is a sexy phone full of features, and I’d use it!

Buy It: The HTC One M8 is available at Verizon Wireless for $199 (with 2 yr contract) or $29.99 on the Edge program. Full retail is $599.

  1. Love this phone! can’t wait to buy it because mine fall down and the screen is all in pieces. I still can use it, but I’m afraid it won’t be for a long time.
