Samsung Galaxy Note 4 Vs. Galaxy Note 4 EDGE

If anyone knows me well, they know I am a very lucky person. I win a lot of stuff! I try join the Verizon #VZWBuzz twitter chat every friday at 1 PM (est) because not only do I always learn something new about tech and using it in my life but they always give away great prizes. I won a phone back in February and the angels sang when a beautiful Samsung Galaxy Note 4 arrived at my doorstep. (Side note, I won another phone 2 months ago, so JOIN THE CHAT!)

During the summer the fab folks at Verizon that I have been working with for years asked me to review the Note 4 EDGE. This phone is almost exactly like my Note 4 with one huge glaring difference… a curved edge.

I know what you’re thinking…why do I need a curved edge on my phone? I said the same thing too and then something magical happened..all those notifications you get in the middle or top of your phone that interrupt everything are now sent to the side leaving your big screen free to keep doing what it is that you are doing. It also is customize-able to add your favorite apps for quick launch so your beautiful screen gets to say clutter free.

While the Note 4 and Note 4 Edge have the same innards, same stylus, same 16 mp camera, I noticed a marked difference in the camera, somehow the Edge got richer colors. Because the original Note 4 has an amazing camera I knew it would be the same great quality on the edge.

As you can see from these unedited photos, the Note 4 Edge packs a serious punch. I found myself using that little edge for everything and loved how convenient it was. When it was time to return the Note 4 edge and go back to just my Note 4, I did find myself missing it.

Moral of the story? If you are a multi-tasking busy person the location and customization of that sweet edge in the Note 4 Edge comes in handy. Also, I am still completely in love with my Note 4 that I won, having had reviewed the Note 3 a while back I fell hard for Samsung. You can’t go wrong with either choice but the sleek look of that edge wins. If I get a Note 5 I am going to want an edge on it!
