Because of the spacing of my children, I get unique circumstances in life that not a whole lot of parents will see. One of those is Teeth. All three of my children were getting teeth at the same time. My oldest, 12.5, was losing his molars and getting his permanent adult teeth. My daughter, age 7 is still losing and getting teeth like crazy. And the toddler, he was getting his molars but after they came in he finally got his eye teeth (fangs) . So I had THREE TEETHING CHILDREN. Isn’t that crazy? I am not a fan of taking photos of my kids brushing and whats more I am not a fan of taking photos of my bathroom since it needs a bad remodel. Call me weird but I am not a fan of pics with toothpaste coming out of someone’s mouth.
The good folks at Orajel and Arm & Hammer sent all three of my kids stuff for their new teeth. For my toddler they sent him a selection of toddler stuff including Teething gel, toddler toothbrush, tooth and gum cleanser and training toothpaste:
For the most part I have to strap Aiden down to get his teeth brushed but he doesn’t mind too much. The product I love in this lineup is the teething gel. I normally hate it because I always think I am using too much. But they now have it in a pump form that spits out only what you need so you don’t have to worry about the dose being too much. I can safely say that I am happy that Orajel cares about my baby (yes he is a toddler but he is MY BABY!) and wanted to help him be comfortable when he is teething and start good brushing habits with the pastes!
Next was Alyssa, and this girl got really lucky. She got to be a guinea pig and test the new Kids Spinbrush My Way – This brush comes blank and YOU decorate it!
Oh she LOOOOOOVED this! I took the liberty of putting her name on but she did the rest completely by herself!
And the back is rocker girl stuff. She absolutely loves this. When Aiden is old enough I am buying him one with the boy stickers too. I think this is something to keep in mind for holiday STOCKINGS because each kid can decorate their own brish the way THEY want. These stickers are actually a permanent application and will not stick again if they are removed, and they are waterproof so don’t worry if the kids get em wet. And since its fun Alyssa brushes longer and that is a good thing! They retail for $7.99 but you can get one on sale at Amazon for $7.64!
Last but certainly not least was Colton and he got the Spinbrush Pro!
Call me crazy but I got a little weepy when Colton tried this, because it really is the first toothbrush he has ever had that doesn’t feature a kid motif ::sniff:: ..I will be okay, just have to resign myself to the fact that my oldest is no longer a little kid! Colton says he likes the brush. I don’t really think we can go back to manual toothbrushes for him, he does a lot better with a battery operated. And since he now has all of his permanent teeth, its even more imperitive he continues with his good oral care habits. You can get a Spinbrush Pro for around $13 at any store that sells oral health care items, like CVS and Wal-Mart 🙂
In Summary: Thumbs up on all three, but I am not surprised, Arm & Hammer never fails to be my go to household name and Orajel I have been using since I first became a mom. Good companies, good products! CLICK HERE for a coupon for $1.00 off any Arm & Hammer dental product!
Disclaimer: I was sent the oral care products listed in this review to test for this article. Opinions are my own. Thank You Arm & Hammer and Orajel.
