You would be surprised at just how much sugar and how many chemicals make up the mouth washes and oral rinse that you find on the shelves at the store. I didn’t pay attention before, but recently wanted to see if I am actually CAUSING my kids issues and sure enough, there was sugar in the mouthwash. Thankfully I was asked to try TheraBreath for Kids, made with organic grapes and sweetened with Xylityol.
I had to give it a try personally and I never would have thought grape flavor could lead to fresh breath but the flavor was great. My opinion didn’t matter of course it was my 8 year old who needed to give it a try. His reaction:
I won’t be sharing a pic of my kid’s oral health routine, I can’t stomach looking at other people’s pics, it triggers a phobia for me, but I will share a few tips with you, since I know what it is like to have to struggle to get kids to take care of their teeth. I can tell you that my son LOVES the grape flavor, and wishes he had toothpaste that matches the flavor of the mouth wash!
- My best tip… MAKE IT FUN. When kids look forward to something, they are more apt to want to do it. Play a song, do a dance, anything to make it fun!
- DON’T NAG. Don’t make threats. Telling a kid that his teeth will fall out won’t work.
- Offer oral hygiene products that taste great but don’t harm more than they help. Opt for natural and organic products like TheraBreath for Kids!
