If there is one thing I miss about living in Florida as a child, its the ample amount of oranges and orange juice everywhere. I live in Michigan and you can’t really grow oranges here outdoors so I buy the juice at the store. Mornings during the school year, both the kids and my college, are for now not as crazy as most. I am lucky to be able to be home in the mornings because I don’t take morning classes if I can help it. But the best mornings are on the weekends when I can do my chef thing and make my family a breakfast so good that they have to veg out afterward complete with french toast and Florida Orange Juice. But during the week I try to stay connected by making sure I offer my kids favorites for quick breakfasts, and of course wish them to have a good day. My older two kids aren’t the easiest to coax out of the bed at 6:30 in the morning for school, me either because that is too early for me but on the days we all drag out and converse, the kids seem to have better days at school. So there is something to be said for early morning encouragement. And a good breakfast of course!
