Because mine doesn’t. He doesn’t even possess it anymore, it was lost about 6 year ago sadly. I can’t really yell at him too much since I don’t wear my ring either but mine is because it needs to be resized. In his case we need to buy a new one and that means we need to go shopping.
I have known for a while that I wouldn’t be looking for a gold band. I’d be looking for mens tungsten rings because they are more scratch resistant, and more rugged. When my husband was a truck driver he banged up his hand lots of times and would have broke his wedding band with diamonds. I think what makes it interesting is that nowadays you don’t HAVE to just have that gold band as a tradition, you will see many different kinds of bands in several colors!
And thanks to the power of internet searching it took me like 2 seconds to find a site to shop for rings, MensTungstenOnline.com, and there I was able to narrow it down. The main issue my husband has is that his fingers are thin and long (guitar player) so he can’t have a square shape because it will rub the other fingers and he can’t have a heavy ring either. I was able to pull up several styles of the tungsten carbide wedding ring and surprisingly, I actually like the black 6 mm Pescara! I thought maybe it would be too thin for my husband but he actually likes it. So I think that maybe for our Anniversary in January, I will get him this ring, its light, rugged and lifetime guaranteed. And I would just feel better of he wore a ring again! I will get my rings fixed too but I can’t wear anything but a plain band in the kitchen so maybe I will get some tungsten for myself!
