I am a firm believer that most of the things in life that irritate people can be fixed with humor. I identify as a funny, albeit sarcastic person. One of my life motto’s is if you don’t laugh at least once a day, what is the point of getting out of bed? I like to make people laugh, especially my kids. I also like hearing and telling jokes, and I found some great books filled with jokes, and the jokes are written BY KIDS!
Just in time to celebrate National Literacy Month, the United Healthcare Children’s Foundation released 3 new joke books guaranteed to hit the funny-bone in us all:
Little Book Big Laughs – Cool Jokes for Summer (For Kids By Kids) – “Ridiculously cool joke book comes in a close second! With over 400 hilarious jokes, you’ll be laughing all summer long”
Little Book Big Laughs – Eats, Treats & Sweets Jokes (For Kids By Kids) – “When you cross a sweet tooth and a funny bone, you get the tastiest joke book ever created.
Laugh (and munch) your way through 300+ side-splitting jokes! “
Little Book Big Laughs – Birthday, Holiday & Celebration Jokes (For Kids By Kids) – “Get out your party hat, it’s time to celebrate! This knee-slapper will have you laughing all the way to the holiday season. With over 300 jokes, you’ll have reason to rejoice every single day. “
Where to get these Joke books
Not only are these book super affordable on Amazon right now but proceeds from the books fund child medical grants for families across the country. That means you get to laugh at jokes by kids and help families in the USA with medical needs. So you basically get to read some funny jokes by kids and help other kids at the same time. It’s a win-win in my book! These books are geared for kids ages 4-12, but anyone can enjoy because all of the jokes are family friendly!
United Healthcare Children’s Foundation is a fantastic organization that provides medical grants to help children gain access to health-related services not covered, or not fully covered, by their parents’ commercial health insurance plan. They have raised over 37 MILLION dollars to fund these grants, helping so many kids that can’t get access to care because of the gaps in insurance. And this organization just happens to believe that reading is a very important skill for kids. These great books are just one way to promote reading for kids. They do so much more.
