You probably already know that Schwan’s is a company in the U.S that delivers frozen, delicious food right to your door. You might already know that this business started way back in 1952. But what you probably didn’t know is that Schwan’s offers fundraising through their program Schwan’s Cares, for schools or churches and animal shelters for example. Before I tell you about that I will let you know that Schwan’s sent me a sampler of their best selling foods for me to enjoy with my family while I learned more about what their fundraising offers. The products included:
· Fire Grilled Chicken Breast
· Asian Style Vegetable Stir-Fry
· Roasted Peppers and Onions
· Super Sweet Cut Corn
· Broccoli Florets
· SPECIAL RECIPE™ Four Cheese Pizza
· Butter Pecan Ice Cream
And two of my own requests, Chicken Kiev and Waffle Fries 🙂 And yes…that ice cream was gone fast because it is the BEST.
I also took those Roasted Peppers and Onions and threw them into my Pepper Steak Fajitas, which took off a good 10 minutes of prep and 5 minutes off cooking since they were fully cooked before freezing..my family loved this new version!
Now back to Schwan’s Cares… this program offers to give back 20% of sales on food, 40% back on sales of eGift Certificates(limit one per customer, per campaign), and even after your active period is over, your organization can still earn 5% as long as they purchase through your campaign via online or call center. What this means is that this fundraiser is filled with all kinds of food (not just nuts and chocolate) and no toys to earn that will be thrown out, just pure giving back. Right now in fact there are a couple of Schwan’s Fundraisers here in Michigan, in Midland at Northeast Middle School and in Detroit at the Detroit Animal Welfare Group. Starting a campaign is as easy as pie..
Go To Schwan’s Cares then..

Personally, I think I might bring the fundraising up to my school because they keep selling the same stuff over and over and we don’t order because they rarely get over 10% of sales and the “prizes” they work so hard for are just junk. I’d rather reward my kids with some yummy ice cream! Seriously, even if I wasn’t given free food to enjoy, I would still tell everyone about Schwan’s because I have been a customer off and on for over 15 years, dating back to when they had the most AMAZING seasoned curly fries!
